What if the best
brews and spirits
in the Cascades
were hiding in plain sight?

Small-batch brewery and distillery nestled in the foothills of the North Cascades — where every pour tells a story of place, patience, and craft.

Our Story

Born from the
mountain air
and the river below

Mt. Index Brewery & Distillery began with a simple conviction: that extraordinary craft beverages don't require a sprawling industrial complex — they need clean water, quality ingredients, and hands that care about the process.

Tucked along State Route 2 in the shadow of the North Cascades, our tasting room sits at the crossroads of the Wenatchee National Forest and the Swakane River. The same pristine mountain water that feeds these valleys runs through every batch we pour.

We started as a one-man operation — brewing on weekends, distilling by hand, learning the rhythm of fermentation and patience. What grew from that was never about scale. It was about making something that tastes like this place: bold, quiet, and unmistakably rooted.

"The best drinks aren't made in a hurry. They're made where the air is clean, the water is cold, and there's nothing but mountains to keep you honest."

The Brews

Beers shaped by
the mountain climate

Every pint is a reflection of the Cascade foothills — bold enough for the trail, smooth enough for the porch.
